Storage, Handling and Transport
Storage
All cakes should be kept in the fridge until serving.
Remove the cake 1-2 hours before serving so the textures can soften and the flavours develop beautifully.
Keep the cake on a flat, stable surface, away from direct sunlight or heat.
For best results, serve at room temperature.
Handling
Always lift the cake from the bottom of the box, keeping it level.
Avoid pressing the sides of the box or tilting the cake at any angle.
Place the cake on a sturdy, flat surface immediately after collection.
Transport
Transport the cake on a flat, clear surface in your vehicle, ideally the boot or passenger footwell.
Do not place it on a seat or on someone’s lap.
Ensure the car is cool, avoid sharp turns or sudden braking, and drive carefully.
Once home, keep the cake level at all times.
